For International Students
This page is aimed at students studying outside of the UK, and those who aspire to study in the UK. Our tutors are used to a multilingual approach to teaching, having a good knowledge of the local education system at a secondary and university level, as well as that in the UK. They can help prepare students for university admissions in the UK both with academic tests and interviews, and with practical advice regarding applications and documentation.
The Team:
Aneliya Apostolidi
Aneliya has had years of experience teaching Bulgarian language, using her proficiency in Spanish, English, Greek and Russian to help foreign speakers in their own native language. Having spent over 1500 hours translating highly specialised medical material, both in written form and as oral, consecutive and simultaneous interpreting, her Level 6 Diploma in Public Service Interpreting in the Medical Pathway is an extremely valuable tool in both her understanding of medical terminology and in her ability to effectively communicate with and teach students from diverse linguistic backgrounds.
Christian Hoxha
Chris has not only lived in both Albania and the UK and is proficient in both languages, but has in-depth understanding of both educational systems through direct experience. His education at an English-Albanian secondary school had him study for both his GCSEs and the Albanian curriculum simultaneously - a show not only of his adaptability, but of what it is to be a truly international student. His fluency in English led to him extensively tutoring his peers - becoming a tutor from early on. As a student at an English Sixth Form College and soon to be undergraduate at a British University, he is best able to relay his expertise to other international students aspiring to study in the UK.
Chrysa Tsantikou
Chrysa has shown exceptional academic successes both at GCSE and A-Level Greek, receiving n A* in 2022. She is someone who has lived in and has in-depth knowledge of both Greece and the UK and their respective education systems, having completed her primary school education in Greece and secondary school education in England. She continues to work for two years now as a teaching assistant at a Greek school in the UK, utilising both her English and Greek proficiency to help children of a wide range of ages.
Ellie Apostolidi
Ellie brings excellent linguistic abilities, a proficiency in both English, Greek and Bulgarian, and a proven academic track record in these languages (receiving a 9 in GCSE Greek and being predicted at A* at A-Level) to the table. She has lived in all three countries and has studied at different levels in their respective education systems, including Greek and Bulgarian primary schools and an English secondary school. Moreover, Ellie has two years of experience as an educator, working as a teaching assistant for the international education company Kumon, where she helps children at different levels and from diverse backgrounds in Maths and English.
Rawan Elaamil
Rawan shows outstanding abilities in STEM subjects, having been predicted A*s in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Her educational background in both Arabic and English speaking countries and educational systems, guarantees her a proficiency in both languages, as shown by her receiving a 9 in GCSE Arabic. This allows her to effectively teach students in whichever language they best work with to ensure their best understanding of the material.
