Aneliya ApostolidiAbout me My main motto as an educator with an experience of over 15 years is that students must follow their own dreams and ambitions. Getting to know school curriculum beyond the surface level helps to create strong and bright personalities, and successful young people. I am a linguist, speaking and writing in 5 languages (English, Bulgarian, Spanish, Russian, Greek and German), which only makes me more capable in communicating with a wide range of people. I have helped to raise and educate over 20 children from ages 3 to 15, aiding with more than just their academics, but also with establishing solid study skills and habits necessary for success in academics and in life. My education in Economics, as well as my Level 6 Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI) are a guarantee of my strong foundation in STEM subjects like mathematics, chemistry and biology. Thanks to my long experience with working with children of all ages, and my background in interpreting which requires strong communication and interpersonal abilities, I can offer accessible lessons to my students for the best understanding of the material. About the sessions My main goal as an educator is to instil a sense of responsibility towards one’s own success, and the work that has been set, a sense of faith in one’s own capabilities, as well as the dedication and hard-work needed to achieve success. I utilise a wide range of methods in my teaching - visualising, interactive materials and activities, stories and fables - all adapted to my students, with particular focus on using these tools on younger students to retain their attention and interest. I am able to recognise a student’s weak spots and gaps very quickly by getting to know them well, so that I can reach them on a deeper personal level. I walk with my students on this long path towards success with a lot of effort, consistency and love.
